Severe winter weather forces city facility and operational closures

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â City officials stated due to a second night of forecasted icy road conditions, road and bridge closures and severe cold and inclement weather, the City of Corpus Christi will remain closed along with most City offices.
Those offices include City Hall, Development Services, Public Libraries, and Senior Centers on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.
First responders and Animal Care Services will continue providing services. There are other offices and programs which also have been impacted including:
Municipal Court: Closed. All in person and virtual hearings scheduled for Tuesday, February 16 are cancelled.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas Due to icy road conditions, road and bridge closures and severe cold and inclement weather that is expected through Monday, the City of Corpus Christi will close most City offices including City Hall, Development Services, Public Libraries, and Senior Centers on Monday, February 15.

Corpus Christi International Airport: The airport terminal will remain open through the duration of the weather event to provide customer service to tenants and travelers who may need assistance. COLD CHRISTMAS EVE: As advertised, very cold air continues to roll into Alabama this afternoon. Temperatures are mostly in 30s, and the sky has cleared from Birmingham north and west, but clouds persist to the north and east.
We will continue to mention a chance of snow flurries or snow showers tonight over Northeast Alabama; no meaningful accumulation or impact is expected for most places. However, there is still potential for a narrow “lake effect” snow band coming off the Tennessee River/Lake Wheeler through parts of Marshall, DeKalb, and Cherokee counties… up to 1/2″ is possible on grassy areas in a few spots.
