Senior Daniel Myers has all the right tools to rebrand and rebuild NKU’s Student Government Association. The sports business and event planning and marketing double major stepped into the role of SGA President this year amidst an organization that is struggling for involvement. Myers and Vice President Jaelynn Gentry won the vote of NKU students.

Meet the candidates
Aliya Cannon is a junior social work major with a minor in social justice. She currently serves as a senator in SGA in addition to her other involvement on campus. She is the youth service coordinator for the central region of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. where she advocates and represents 500 members across 13 states. At NKU, she is the basileus, or president, of the Rho Chi chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho. She is also the president of NKUâs National Pan-Hellenic Council.
At the time of reporting, two sets of candidates have announced their intention of running for president and vice president of NKUâs Student Government Association in the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.
