The Yukon Electoral District Boundaries Commission held its first public hearing to discuss proposed changes to Yukon's electoral ridings in Watson Lake. Close to 35 people attended the meeting. Many spoke up against the proposed change to merge the communities of Watson Lake, Ross River, and Faro into one district.
The mayor of Watson Lake, Yukon, is the latest official to voice his concern over the lack of long-term care options in his community. Chris Irvin said at this point, Watson Lake needs something whether it's two long-term care beds, or a brand new facility.
