Grand Prairie revises swimming pool schedule due to lifeguard shortage
The city will offer free admission to its three community pools this summer.

A lifeguard shortage in North Texas and beyond has forced Grand Prairie to modify city swimming pool hours this summer.
The city has hired about 35 lifeguards, half of the typical number for this time of year.
Grand Prairie’s Splash Factory will reopen Friday with more amenities during a ribbon cutting that will feature shaved ice and giveaways. Closed last year.
