As part of efforts aimed at reducing infant mortality in the country, members of The Praise Vessels of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos Province 44, recently donated life- saving equipment to Olikoye Ransome Kuti Children Emergency Unit of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
Speaking during the donation, Pastor in Charge of Province 44, Pastor Amos Emovon, stated that the gesture is in alignment with the strategic direction from the leadership of the mission.
According to him, “our dearest esteemed father in the Lord and the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye commissioned all senior pastors to impact positively on our environment.

Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) has announced a strategic partnership with BIO Ventures for Global Health (BVGH) to realise NSIA’s vision for reducing the impact of cancer in Nigeria.
As it stands, cancer is a serious health threat in Nigeria, with 116,000 new cancer cases reported each year and more than 70,000 deaths annually.
The collaboration between NSIA-LUTH Cancer and BVGH focuses on three core deliverables including the establishment of sustainable access to high quality and affordable cancer medicines and technologies; building clinical and radiation oncology expertise by helping to train and expand the skills of oncologists, and to forge international partnerships and catalyze clinical research.
FG committed to availability of COVID-19 vaccine, says Ehanire

The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, has restated the Federal Government’s commitment to the availability of vaccine in Nigeria
Ehanire, on the sidelines of his visit to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, has expressed optimism that the country would receive the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines before the end of February.
He, however, noted that the Federal government had ordered the establishment of full medical oxygen plant in each state of the federation as part of the efforts to ensure oxygen sufficiency not only for COVID-19 but other ailments.

Nigeria Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has welcomed efforts by a team of indigenous professors and scientists investigating the effectiveness of, and roles that Ivermectin drug can play in the treatment of the COVID-19.
The team which is composed of Nigerian intellectuals at home and abroad has also submitted their report on the potency of the drug to the World Health Organisation which has already appointed a Peer Review expert from the United Kingdom, Voice of Nigeria reveals.
The Vice President was briefed by a team of scientists led by Prof. Femi Babalola, the Principal investigator and Prof. Chris Bode, the Chief Medical Director of Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
