Created, thats three months in a row. Look at what happened in march and april. Thats the pandemic shutdown. And then in the summer we saw this snapback of hiring retail jobs, hotels and restaurants. Thats certainly what we saw in july. But the pace of the jobs gains is slowing here. Overall we have lost 22. 2 million jobs in march and april, and weve gained back a little more than 9 million of those. So its really important to kind of put that in context to measure just how deep the hole we are in here. The jobless rate at 10. 2 . Thats declined but still above t the worst of the great recession. So a 10. 2 unemployment rate. And the Labor Department points out that if you counted some of these people who are miscategorized in the report, you might have even 1 more than that, so 11. 2 . Some of those people dont say that theyre out of work. They just say theyre not at their job, even though they have been either laid off or furloughed. So we got a lot of work to do here. I think thats
