Some very heavy rainfall developing overnight tonight but its a slowmoving storm system and thats the concern because its going to have a lot of time to dump a tremendous amount of rainfall maybe 2 to 4 in some wetter spots and more than that in the mountains. Segments of americas prison population. Since 1995, the total number of male prisoners in america has grown 29 . The number of female prisoners, nearly 50 . So what does it mean to society and to our Justice System . We first visited valley state womens prison in california back in 2000, one of the largest allfemale prisons in the world. We returned five years later to see if reforms made any difference to a system troubled by overcrowding and the inmates caught in a seemingly hopeless circle of abuse, drug addiction and violence. Everybody tries to make a family here. This is their family while theyre here. But then there is another aspect of the population that can be very violent, very cutthroat. Why you over here .
