Clemson, S.C. The 17th-ranked women’s golf team continues the 2022-23 season on Saturday at the 2022 Schooner Classic in Norman, Okla. The three-round, 54-hole tournament takes place over three days at the par-70, 6,109-yard Belmar Golf Club. Clemson is one of four ACC teams in the 15-team field, as Florida State, Louisville and Virginia Tech will also compete. Big 12 teams include Baylor, Oklahoma State, TCU and tournament-host Oklahoma. It will be Clemson’s sixth appearance at the annual event. The first round begins at 9:00 am (10:00 am ET), with the Tigers teeing off in the second group on hole one. Clemson is paired with North Texas and Virginia Tech. Clemson’s lineup is the same group that finished second in the Cougar Classic earlier this month, but with a twist. Charleston, S.C. – Thanks in large part to a 67 (-4) final round from Annabelle Pancake, Clemson women’s golf finished with the lowest team round of the day for a second-place finish at the Cougar Classic.Pancake fired off a bogey-free final round, for Clemson’s best single-round performance of the tournament, with four birdies on the day to surge into a tie for 13th. Melena Barrientos finished as the Tigers’ top individual performer, shooting under 70 in every round to finish at -7 and tie for fourth place.Savannah Grewal finished at -2 for the tournament, good for a tie for 21st. In her first tournament as a Tiger, Chloe Holder turned in an even-par third round to finish tied for 34th, while Sydney Roberts finished at +15.Clemson turned the low team round each of the last two rounds of the tournament, shooting 275 (-9) and 277 (-7) after a tough 288 first round (+4).The Tigers return to the course in two weeks, competing at the Schooner Classic in Norman, Okla.
Charleston, S.C. – Clemson fired one of the best rounds in program history on Monday afternoon to surge into a tie for second after two rounds of the Cougar Classic, played on the 6,269-yard, par-71 Yeamans Hall course.
