KATHUA, Aug 4: National Bone and Joint Day was celebrated today with great enthusiasm by Jammu and Kashmir Orthopaedic Association (JKOA) and Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua.
To celebrate the Day, JKOA started providing online training regarding proper first aid/basic life support to around one lakh people including students, police personnel and common men to make them life saviours. Rajesh K Gupta, president, JKOA said that this year the theme of the celebration is ‘Save self Save One’ as the focus is on deaths occurring deaths due to trauma and accidents in India.
Gupta said the training programme were started on August 1 and will last till August 7. He said alongside training, these one lakh people will be educated about how to keep the bones healthy and strong. Apart from this, he said, many other activities like talks on work life balance, life beyond professional life, financial health and self-health would be conducted by the members of

Kathua: District Administration Kathua received a consignment of Medical Beds and other Patient care items from M/S Chenab Textile Mills, Kathua today.
The items which included 25 Medical Beds with Mattresses, 20 Desert Coolers, 5 Water Coolers and 4 LED TV’s were formally handed over by Executive President, CTM Umesh Gupta to Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Yadav under Corporate Social Responsibility.
The DC Kathua while appreciating the gesture of the CTM Authorities said the District Administration has taken slew of measures to equip Healthcare institutions including Covid Care Centres with required infrastructure to tackle this unprecedented situation of Covid-19 pandemic. Related Posts
