Memorialize the Movement is dedicated to the preservation of the plywood murals created in response to George Floyd’s death Photo: Chioma Uwagwu, courtesy of Memorialize The Movement The killing of Daunte Wright by a police officer last month has opened wounds afresh in Minnesota, where only a year ago the death of George Floyd, after police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for nine minutes and 29 seconds, sparked protests that spread across the country.
