I think that make a lot of sense but dont mistake, theres going to be a billion dollar tax increase on longtime california residence that would pay for this. Reporter scott horton says the other side of prop 19 will have a huge effect, on those who might inherit the parents property. Currently children can inherit the house of any value from a parent, and keep the lower tax rate. But prop 19 would limit that value to 1 million, and require that the child live in the house as a primary residence. If they dont live in the house, and they, rented out, they will play the inflated tax rate.
