Abtran, which employs 1,400 people in Cork and Sligo, is a specialist provider of services in sectors including government, transport, utilities and financial services. Its customers include Electric Ireland. Michael Fitzgerald, co-founder and Chairman of Abtran, said it was excellent that its new group CEO had been appointed from within its own organisation.
