RAYNHAM A man suffered serious burn injuries when a fire broke out in his Raynham apartment on Friday evening.
The Raynham Fire Department responded to a report of an apartment building fire at 111 Leonard St. about 5:10 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters located a smoldering fire inside an apartment and quickly put it out, Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita said in a written statement. A 51-year-old man, who is a resident of the apartment, put out the flames with a fire extinguisher prior to the arrival of firefighters.
The man was complaining of leg pain at the scene and firefighters discovered he had suffered a serious burn to his leg.

RAYNHAM Chief Bryan LaCivita is pleased to announce that two Raynham firefighters graduated from the Massachusetts Fire Academy last week.
On Friday, Feb. 5, Firefighters Aaron Shumway and Justin Kelleher graduated from the academy’s Career Recruit Firefighter Training Program Class BW08, which trained at the Bridgewater campus.
