RAYNHAM — A man suffered serious burn injuries when a fire broke out in his Raynham apartment on Friday evening.
The Raynham Fire Department responded to a report of an apartment building fire at 111 Leonard St. about 5:10 p.m.
"Upon arrival, firefighters located a smoldering fire inside an apartment and quickly put it out," Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita said in a written statement. "A 51-year-old man, who is a resident of the apartment, put out the flames with a fire extinguisher prior to the arrival of firefighters."
The man was complaining of leg pain at the scene and firefighters discovered he had suffered a "serious burn" to his leg.
