Kaiti Jones â Weak Days
March 16, 2021
Kaiti Jones performs Weak Days live at the Chestnut Hill Farm in Southborough, MA, for a Front Row Boston socially-distant session. Jones is a natural songwriter and storyteller; her lyrics rooted in existential angst or failed romances that grow into retrospective anecdotes. I often write or finish songs years later, when I m able to look back with a new perspective and less pain, she explains. Jones s sophomore album Tossed furthered this practice and allowed her to confront daunting questions. It was produced by Daniel Radin (Lake Saint Daniel, Future Teens), who joins her on guitar during the session.

Fire pits at Appleton Farms.Rob Barossi
Perhaps weâve been streaming too many History Channel episodes of â¶Vikings,â³ but thereâs something primal and comforting about gathering around a fire in this dark season. The magic might work even better in the 21st century than it did in the 10th. Those poor Vikings didnât have sâmores.
Nor did they have the sleek stainless steel fire pits from Solo Stoves introduced in early December at two Trustees of Reservations properties.
The light show has been extended through Jan. 17, 2021. Though the Stockbridge event is sold out, as of this writing tickets are still available in Canton.
Tackle the snow this season at Notchview in Windsor, part of the Hoosac Range in the Berkshire Hills, which offers more than 3,000 acres of rolling terrain for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The property offers equipment rentals, “learn to ski” programs, and private lessons through April.
Those looking for more cross-country trails will find them at Brooks Woodland Preserve in Petersham, Bullitt Reservation in Ashfield, Copicut Woods in Fall River, Field Farm in Williamstown, Noon Hill in Medfield, and Ravenswood Park in Gloucester.
