The departing Chester Riverkeeper, Trumbauer was toasted virtually during the Dec. 21 council meeting. “Can you see me blushing through Zoom?” Trumbauer asked the mayor and council. “Now I’ve got a new holiday. This is great. This wasn’t even on my bucket list, but it is now. This is fantastic,” he said in a moment of lightheartedness. Mayor Chris Cerino read a proclamation thanking Trumbauer for his commitment to the health of the local environment and for his dedication to ensuring that the Chester River “continue to improve as an estuary that we all view, use and love daily.”
