#TamilNaduElections: Sasikala’s Vote Goes Missing! Published by GulteDesk April 06, 2021
The polling for Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, West Bengal and Puducherry states got underway this morning. The state of Tamil Nadu is going polling in a single phase and people have turned in a huge number at polling booths.
However, ‘Chinnamma’ Sasikala’s vote has gone missing from the voters’ list. Sasikala has been casting her vote at Thousand Lights constituency for the last three decades and until the demise of Jayalalithaa, she was residing at Poes gardens in Chennai. In 2017, when Sasikala was arrested and sent to jail in a disproportionate assets case, the police took over Poes gardens and so Sasikala’s name was removed from the voters’ list.
Chaos broke out in Chennai as Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan arrived at a polling booth early on Tuesday morning to cast his vote in the Tamil Nadu assembly election.
