The Aam Aadmi Party will focus on making Delhi clean and a world-class city if it comes to power in the municipal polls due next year, party leader Durgesh Pathak said.
The municipal corporation polls of Delhi are due in 2022.
On the party s vision for municipal corporation, Pathak said the first thing they will do is to clean Delhi if they win the polls. The main work of the municipal corporation is to keep Delhi clean but the national capital is so dirty under the BJP. So the first thing we will do is to clean Delhi.Local bodies play a very important role in implementing policies so if the AAP government comes we will succeed in making Delhi a world-class city, he said.
He said the party will reduce corruption in municipal corporations.

The BJP, which controls the capital’s five municipal bodies, ate humble pie as the results of bypolls to five municipal wards here were declared on Wednesday.
Of the five seats in the North and East Delhi municipal corporations, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won four, and the Congress one.
The BJP’s majority in both the corporations, however, remains intact. The party won 27.29 per cent of vote share.
In the 2017 municipal polls here, the AAP had won four of these seats, and the BJP had won a single seat.

New Delhi, March 3 : After losing the ground in the recent Gujarat local body and municipal corporation elections, the Congress found a ray of hope with its victory in one of the five seats in the MCD bypolls as results were declared earlier on Wednesday, boosting the party to prepare its strategy for the election on all 272 wards next year.
The AAP put on a good show in the five bye-elections to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Wednesday, winning four seats including Kalyanpuri, Rohini-C, Shalimar Bagh (North), and Trilokpuri. The Congress won the Chauhan Banger ward. In the last polls, AAP had won four seats while one seat was held by the BJP.
