Indiana s State Board of Education gave its approval on Wednesday for Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting to authorize Thea Bowman Leadership Academy in Gary.
Calumet College of St. Joseph voted Monday to authorize Thea Bowman Leadership Academy. The decision is now pending the state Board of Education s approval.
Thea Bowman staff and parents pleaded for CCSJ s sponsorship during a public hearing Thursday night, as the college will consider the school s application on Monday.
