Hello and welcome, its good to be here in person with you all. My name is kim daniels, i am the director of georgetown universitys initiative on catholic thought and life. I want to thank all of you for joining us in person and online for this important public dialogue on the 60th anniversary of the march on washington for jobs and freedom, keeping the dream alive. [applause] we are so grateful to have so many of you joining us today. With a full house here, over 1600 people joining us online and many more joining us via cspan. 60 years ago today, more than 250,000 people gathered at the Lincoln Memorial for the march on washington for jobs and freedom. Dr. Martin luther king sent to all of those gathered and watching throughout the country, i have a dream. Words that would inspire so many at that time and in the years to come.
