Amapiano Queen, Sha Sha To Drop Debut Album

The Mutare bred songbird has been flying the country’s flag high in the regional music scene making a name for herself in the genre that has since dominated the South African entertainment sector. In 2020 she made history as the first Zimbabwean musician ever to bag the BET Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act Award. Following several hit singles that dominated regional airwaves she released an EP album featuring the South African music giants, Samthing Soweto, Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa.

Sha Sha Nominated For Prestigious Regional Award

The virtual awards ceremony will be held on the 20th of February 2021 in Kampala, Uganda and will broadcast on the MTV Base and MTV channels. Sha Sha, born Charmaine Shamiso Mpambiro, has been nominated in the Breakthrough Act category alongside other rising stars in the continent; Elaine, Focalistic, John Blaq, Omah Lay, Tems and Zuchu. She is the only Zimbabwean nominated across the 10 categories announced so far. Voting has already commenced online on the MTV MAMA (www.mtvmama.com) website.
