Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, Saturday, said insecurity gives his government concern as he distributed 50 brand new JAC pickup vehicles to the army, police, and other security agencies in the State to enhance their performance, especially in responding to emergencies in the State.
Before handing over the keys of the vehicles to the beneficiary security agencies at the Government House Bauchi, Governor Mohammed noted that the protection of lives and properties of the citizens is one of the cardinal objectives of his administration.
“I am delighted to welcome you all to this auspicious occasion of the distribution of JAC pickup vehicles to conventional and nonconventional security agencies for the purpose of enhancing security operations in the State. The procurement of these vehicles is a testimony of government concern towards the holistic approach to security challenges in the State.

The Bauchi State Shariah Commission has disclosed plans to repatriate non-indegenous sex workers in the state back to their states of origin while it will marry off indigenous sex workers to tackle immorality in the State.
The Permanent Commissioner of the Commission in charge of ‘Hisbah’ (Islamic police) Aminu Balarabe Isah, told journalists on Tuesday that the Commission is concerned about the activities of the commercial sex workers in the State.

The Bauchi State Shariah Commission has disclosed plans to repatriate non-indigenous prostitutes in the state back to their states of origin while it will marry off indigenous prostitutes to tackle immorality in the State.
The Permanent Commissioner of the Commission in charge of ‘Hisbah’ (Islamic police), Aminu Balarabe Isah, told journalists on Tuesday that the Commission is concerned about the activities of commercial sex workers in the State.
He said this during a pre-Ramadan sensitization meeting organized by his office for prostitutes at their settlement in the Bayan Gari area of Bauchi metropolis.

He said instead of arresting and punishing them, the Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Religious Affairs would return non-indigenous prostitutes willing to stop prostitution to their respective states and reunite them with their parents, while the indigenous prostitutes will be married away to their future husbands.

Bauchi govt to pay JAMB, NECO, other fees for students

Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed has approved the payment of UTME registration fees for 3,810 students who got grades ‘A’ and ‘B’ in the recently concluded SSCE Aptitude Test in the State.
According to a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday, the Commissioner, Ministry of Education, Dr. Aliyu Tilde, said that the governor has also approved payment of NABTEB exams fees for all the 1,751 SS3 Students of Government Technical Colleges along with all the 499 students sitting for NBAIS exams from Government Arabic Colleges, noting that next year, these categories will also be subjected to passing the Aptitude Test.
