Spend Halloween weekend bringing damaged headstones back to life

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission believes pollution from the nearby airport may be causing headstones at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery to deteriorate at a higher-than-normal rate. This Halloween weekend, the organization is calling on the public to help restore the cemetery’s history.
