Consider morning. Officers and family members rushed to paulo owens side. It was around 10 30 this morning when the people at the criminal Justice Center heard what some thought was an explosion. It was a loud noise, so fast and so quick. We didnt know what to do. An announcement came over the loud speaker telling everyone to evacuate. The court is shutting down all operations for the remainder of the day. We know that Sergeant Owens just left the hearing for monsignor william lynn. And the car moved upwards with such force it breached the ceiling and the debris rained down more than 100 feet on the elevator on the right carrying smith. It was the top most section of one of the elevators and the woman was on the bottom section of the other elevator.
