And the car moved upwards with such force it breached the ceiling and the debris rained down more than 100 feet on the elevator on the right carrying smith. It was the top most section of one of the elevators and the woman was on the bottom section of the other elevator. According to the sheriff, Sergeant Owens with the Department Since 1989 suffered broken bones in his back. It was like a projectile. In a building or in a box. And you stop and everything moves, that is what i think happened. City records show that the elevators in the cjc were just inspected by the state on june 14th, the remaining elevators were cleared again today after they were reinspected by the state. The damage to those employee elevators will have to be done and reinexpected before the bank of elevators can be put back to use. Disgruntled employees at the trump taj mahal and now preparing to file for unemployment with owner, carl icahn, threatening to shut it down on labor day. Blaming it all on the workers unions. Reporter monica it has been a long and exhausting 35 days, but today particularly emotional for the casino workers as they process the latest blow to their efforts, the taj mahal now closing in the matter of weeks moving them from the picket lines to the unemployment lines. For weeks now casino workers are leading a crippling strike at the taj mahal demanding Health Insurance and pension benefits. Nobody is going back in there until they get a contract they believe is fair. But it seems that going back is no longer on the table. It announced after 26 years it would shut down after labor day leaving 3,000 workers without a job including this father of four an employee at the taj for more than 20 years. And the latest job losses are in addition to the 8,000 that are unemployed after the closures in 2014.
