Man charged with attempted capital murder after pregnant girlfriend gets stabbed

Twenty-nine-year-old Charles Boone, originally from Missouri, is in the Greene County Jail at Springfield as law enforcement awaits extradition procedures to transport him to Arkansas to face charges. According to Boone County Sheriff Tim Roberson, deputies responded to a reported stabbing in Bellefonte. The victim, identified as 35-year-old Ashley Crawford, told authorities Boone was her boyfriend, and he attacked her with a knife. Crawford was transported to the hospital with multiple stab wounds and lacerations. She is reportedly 27 weeks pregnant.
