The Crestwood Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of amendments to the city’s municipal code, including an ordinance prohibiting car washes in certain zoning districts, and storage and warehousing facilities. The commission voted unanimously at its Nov. 2 meeting to recommend prohibiting car washes and storage and warehousing facilities in areas zoned for C-1 local.
The Crestwood Planning and Zoning Commission had a second discussion June 1 about a proposed power of review ordinance in the city. The ordinance allows aldermen to vote to consider matters tabled by the commission if any alderman believes a tabling would jeopardize the matter. Aldermen amended the ordinance May 24 to require a two-thirds.
Members of the Crestwood Planning and Zoning Commission are not happy with an ordinance under consideration by the city’s Board of Aldermen in recent meetings. The ordinance provides more specific rules for when the board can call for review of planning commission decisions. It gives 48 hours for the city planner to give a report.
