A 12-year-old boy has escaped a ferocious residential fire on the Gold Coast that has claimed the lives of two cats and which police have declared the fourth “suspicious” blaze in a week in South East Queensland.
The blaze erupted in a duplex before dawn on Thursday in Chainey Ave, Miami.
Emergency workers were able to contain the blaze to just one duplex and minimise the damage, police said.
