Our Correspondent Kohima, May 24 (EMN): In a first of its kind, the National Child Development Council (NCDC), a National Child Welfare Organisation based in New Delhi has introduced online — Paperless English Training (PET) and Teacher Training in Child Education — in Nagaland. This was announced by NCDC faculty-cum-admission co-ordinator, Yaomichon Ragui during a press conference held at Crescent International Hotel in Kohima on Tuesday. She said that PET is meant for school and college students who find it difficult to speak English despite having studied English for many years, adding that at present the youngest learner is a student of Class 4 including someone as old as a retired person. It stated that, in addition to spoken English training, general knowledge and skill development are also included in the programme, while daily lessons and activities will be shared directly with the learners through WhatsApp and live lessons every Sunday from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. “I
