The obvious synergies between these real or quasi monopolies have been written about extensively over the past two decades. Both small and large utilities, telcos and cellular companies ( cellcos ) have carefully tried partnering in a typically limited fashion. In a small but growing number of cases, the partnership or outright combination is more ambitious.
