Gov AbdulRazaq seeks development in N/Central Nigeria

By Olubukola Aiyedogbon Ilorin, Jan. 26, 2021 Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has advocated for infrastructural development in the North Central region of Nigeria. He also solicited for better political representation of the region at the federal level. AbdulRazaq made these appeals in Ilorin on Tuesday when he hosted members of the Kogi House of Assembly during an advocacy visit to rally support for Gov. Yahya Bello’s 2023 presidential bid. He commended the giant strides of his Kogi counterpart and said the social media criticisms of him were not reflective of the infrastructural developments that have taken place under his administration. He said the north central region, with its huge human and material resources, had never produced the president or vice president since independence.

Oyedepo made this known in Ilorin on Wednesday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). He said APC leaders from both feuding factions in the state had met in Abuja with the Chairman of the North Central Governors’ Forum and governor of Niger, Sani Bello, who was appointed by the National Secretariat of the party to resolve the crisis. Oyedepo said the Abuja meeting, which had in attendance Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara and the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, did not affirm anyone as chairman of the party in the state. He said:
