From cbs news bay area, this is the afternoon edition. A Police Officer shot during a routine call in san jose. Officers made contact at the residence and immediately began taking fire from the suspect. Good afternoon, im elizabeth palmer. It started as a report of a domestic disturbance and a routine Police Response in san jose. But when officers got there, they were met by gunfire. Police were called out to azuras avenue and ray street around 8 00 this morning. Department Officials Say officers were at the front door when the gunfire erupted.
