For most of the summer it has been pretty tame but it looks like some activity right now yeah, we have had to knock on wood, or in this case acrylic, because the wildfire season has been a bit delayed, but now it seems to be ramping up a little bit. I will show you why. There is lowpressure offshore, subtropical remains from eugene, and the result is that this low is pulling up this moisture, producing thunderstorms not only in the sierra but also out over the Central Valley and into the diablo range all the way to just north of Mount Hamilton as we showed you a moment ago. Eventually eugene, the moisture from eugene will go away, but then it will be supplanted yet another Tropical Storm that just formed a few hours ago hillary is on the way and that will be a factor for early next week when we could get some rain in the immediate bay area. In the meantime we have this to contend with. Just north of 1 30, there is some pretty good cell out there. The closer we get, the more there will be. It is still smoking out in concord. Tomorrow we are going to cool down and the numbers are going to fall when we get into friday. Friday we have low clouds moving in that will cool things down. Overnight, mid60s and 59 at San Francisco. For tomorrow we are still a little bit above average for the most part. It will be cooler tomorrow and dramatically cooler by the time we get to friday. It will be 90 and morgan hill with a few showers up in the east bay, 93 at livermore , 94 at antioch, little bit cooler in the trivalley area. 82 in petaluma, but plenty one. Extended forecast, we are looking for San Francisco to have a few clouds and friday. Much cooler temperatures. As we get into next week, monday and tuesday are cloudy and that is when we have a chance of sprinkles coming in. Again on friday, mostly cloudy skies with maybe some sprinkles.
