That these new options that you have come up with are fabulous if, in fact, theyre going to happen. But based on this report that im reading, i dont think that they ever will. I dont think february 1st, 2013 is near enough time to take on these new options. And i think that its funny that february 1st, 2013, is probably two days before youre going to start digging the trench on columbus avenue. Also it seems like to me, based on our future or our past business together, that this is an item to a bees us when the real serious matter is paragraph 3, which says, if we cant do options 3 or 4, were going to do what we had originally intended. I think thats all i had to say. Thank you, sir. Next speaker, please. Lance carnes, steve taylor, lorenzo petroni. Mr. Carnes. Good afternoon, mr. Carnes. Central task force, im also the transportation chair for russian hill neighbors. Youll be hearing from russian hill neighbor president so i will confine my remarks to spur. Spur has supported this project vigorously since its inception. We have supported the four corridors plan which is based on this project, encompasses two of the four corridors. Our major criticism against this project that we have had for some time is it doesnt go far enough. It needs to be extended so that it encompasses the entire north beach corridor. And our principal aim is to make sure that whatever happens does not preclude the extension. We are working very closely with mta and others to begin the study for the extension. We strongly support option number 4, which by the way, contrary to what the previous speaker said, was overwhelmingly supported at the meeting, citizens meeting on the 19th. Only a small number of people supported option 2. Most of the people there also supported people there also voted tha

Ended at 9 oclock last night, our board of directors with 30 people we have a very large board of directors unanimously voted to support option 4 at the pagoda theater. It is rare that 30 people agree, especially the 30 people with whom im involved. I come from a family of 45. Rarely we have collaboration, rarely consensus. So, ive been involved with ive been with north beach library, so, different opinions. I respect and everyones opinion that has come before me today, but this just happens to be what we looked at it very thoroughly as we have. Its a 30year Old Organization and weve tried to take in every side of it. And like i said, we unanimously support option 4 at this time. Things could change, but today december 4th [inaudible]. We have written a joint letter that id like to read to you today in support of option 4. The Chinatown Community Development Center is a proud longtime supporter of the central subway. With the north beach business association, we endorse the concept of an extension to north beach and Fishermans Wharf. We support director reiskins proposal to study extraction of the tunnel Boring Machine at the pagoda theater with an alternative of behring the tbm under columbus avenue. We also support the mtas efforts to plan for a station at the pagoda theater and additional stations to and from Fishermans Wharf. This will create a northsouth connection that serves the eastern edge of San Francisco, connecting important neighborhoods and communities. The north beach business association, we have over 80 members in north beach would like to add a few more comments, which is, we would like to see the excavation in a new station at pagoda palace, but we want to make it clear that we do not support this
