The Cedar Rapids Library was one of 23 libraries across the nation selected to start a Community Conversation about libraries in their communities. Cedar Rapids Library officials are using the answers to those questions, as a guide for the librarys board of trustees. First tonight, a developing stororin cedar rapids. Police have been on scene near Taylor Elementary for most of the afternoon. They tell us around 330, they were called to the 500block of eighth street southwest for a person who had barricaded themselves inside a home. During that time, several viewers called our newsroom saying they were being told to stay inside. Around 730 tonight, they say that person finally came out of the house and was taken into custody without any kind of incident. Police say for now, they arent releasing any more information.
