Deadly mudslides in california. Powerful torrents of rain and mud ripped up trees and homes, trapping people inside. Not everyone has been saved. The storm is blamed for at least 13 deaths in Santa Barbara county. Search and rescue are still looking for people. Reporter mud and debris covers homes and roads with one official saying, it looks like a battlefield. Its an allout search for rescuers. We have multiple reports of people trapped. Reporter theyre plowing through the walls of mud, standing on top of homes, and using search dogs, hoping to find those who are reported missig. Its our worst fear coming to life for us right now. Our people are trying to do the best work they can and perform as many rescues as they possibly can. Reporter the rain fell hard.
