Manish Sisodia Bail News: Rejecting bail to Manish Sisodia, Supreme Court directed to conclude the trial in the case in six to eight months, saying if the trial proceeds at a slow pace, Sisodia can apply for bail again at a later stage
The trial in the Delhi excise policy scandal, involving former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, could be concluded in nine to 12 months, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) informed the Supreme Court. The agencies informed the Supreme Court that there are nearly 500 witnesses and over 50,000 documents in the case.
Amandeep Singh Dhal, Arjun Pandey and Butchi Babu Gorantla are the other three named in the supplementary chargesheet. The CBI last year chargesheeted Vijay Nair, Abhishek Boinpally, Arun Pillai, Sameer Mahendru, Gautam Mootha, Kuldeep Singh and Narendra Singh.
