Cambodia is closing the Angkor temple complex to visitors because of a growing coronavirus outbreak.
The temples at Angkor, built between the 9th and 15th centuries, are Cambodia’s biggest tourist attraction, though the pandemic has reduced the number of visitors dramatically.
The ban on local and foreign tourists at the site will last until April 20, the government agency overseeing the archaeological site said.

Phnom Penh, April 8 : Cambodia has imposed a two week ban on inter-provincial travel after the country witnessed an increase in the number of new coronavirus cases.
The ban took effect from Wednesday with the exception for vehicles transporting goods, officials, healthcare workers, armed forces members and patients, Xinhua news agency quoted Prime Minister Hun Sen as saying.
He added that commuter vehicles transporting garment factory workers will also be excepted from the ban if they hold an approval letter from the Labour Ministry or provincial labour departments.

The ambassador will have to cast away arcane labels of “left wing” and “right wing” antisemitism, and address all actions that harm Jews with equal gusto. Whether a synagogue is graffitied with “Free Palestine” or “Heil Hitler” makes no difference. In that spirit, the ambassador will have three priorities topping their agenda.
First, the growing power of the BDS movement and its insidious stranglehold on debate regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict must be made a top priority. BDS stands for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions, and its goal is to use economic isolation to destroy the Jewish and democratic character of the State of Israel. It operates behind the façade of advocating for Palestinian rights, but in reality, the movement does nothing for the rights of Palestinians (other than occasionally costing Palestinians their jobs), and in

PHNOM PENH (Xinhua): Cambodia is closing its most famous attraction, the Angkor temple complex, to visitors because of a growing Covid-19 outbreak in the Southeast Asian nation.
Cambodia has confirmed 3,028 cases of infection with the coronavirus, with 23 deaths, since the pandemic began more than a year ago, but the newest outbreak has infected several hundred people.
On Thursday (April 8), the Health Ministry said 113 cases were reported from local transmission, with two deaths.
The ministry traced the outbreak to a foreign resident who broke hotel quarantine to visit a nightclub in February. That caused a slew of infections and led the government to close public schools, cinemas, bars and entertainment areas in Phnom Penh.
