Monmouth, Ill.- The Monmouth Police Department has arrested two teens for allegedly shooting another man. According to a news release, 19-year-old Cayden Bell and 18 year old Nathan Perez were arrested Saturday, April 2nd, by Monmouth police following a shooting incident near 522 E. Broadway in Monmouth. The teens are charged with attempted murder after shooting 21-year-old Brock Noles twice in the leg. Noles was taken to and treated at OSF Holy Family Medical Center. Bell and Perez are being held at the Warren County Jail. The incident remains under investigation by the Monmouth Police Department.
Two people have been arrested after a Saturday morning shooting in the City of Monmouth that left one person injured. According to a release from the Monmouth Police Department, 18-year-old Nathan Perez and 19-year-old Cayden Bell were arrested following an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred at around 3:34 in the area of 522 East Broadway. Bell and Perez are being charged with Attempted Murder and are being held at the Warren County Jail. Monmouth police say that the victim of the shooting, 21-year-old Brock Noles, had two gunshot wounds to his leg and was being treated at OSF Holy Family Medical Center. Monmouth Police are still conducting the investigation into the incident but they say that both suspects are awaiting court appearances and any questions in the case can be directed to the Warren County State's Attorney's Office. Assisting the Monmouth Police Department were members of the Federal Bureau of Investigations TOC West Task Force.
