PHILIPSBURG (DCOMM): - On Thursday, April 1st, and Saturday, April 3rd, several students from the American University of the Caribbean (AUC) volunteered their time and energy to provide information to the public about the COVID-19 vaccine and assist with the registration process.
On Thursday, the COVID-19 vaccination information and registration stands were located at Premiere Supermarket across from Colosseum Crossfit in Cay Hill, Greens Market in Cole Bay, and Carrefour Bush road. On Saturday there were two stands at Sunny Foods and again at Carrefour Bush Road.
Information about the COVID-19 vaccines was provided, along with practical information about the rollout campaign on Sint Maarten. The students also registered persons on the spot, which has led to a significant rise in vaccination registrations over the weekend.

PHILIPSBURG: - On January 20, 2021, the Philipsburg Jubilee Library opened the doors of its first satellite for public use at in Cay Hill and surrounding neighborhoods. A Satellite Library is a decentralized location of the main library, to improve accessibility and visibility in the community and to promote, stimulate, and encourage reading.
The PJL Cay Hill Satellite is located at the premises of the Hillside Christian School – Asha Stevens Campus and is open for the general public from Monday to Friday 2.30 p.m. – 5 p.m. The satellite offers about 3,500 books and another 4,500 books that can be ordered from the main location.

PHILIPSBURG (DCOMM): -The Vaccination Management Team (VMT), has announced that the second vaccination location for public vaccinations will be the Belair Community Center in Cay Hill and it opens on Tuesday, March 9th.
In the original vaccination rollout plan, it was communicated that Dutch Quarter & Cole Bay community helpdesks would serve as public vaccination locations. At the time the VMT was not aware that the opportunity of the Belair Community Center was available.
It has good parking space and is located at a well-known and location (opposite the Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC). The great advantage of Belair Community Center is plentiful space making it possible to easily upscale vaccination capacity depending on registration and demand.
