Councillor Don Moore Councillor Don Moore, the veteran of the group with 14 years of experience, is not seeking re-election this fall. He said he joined because he wanted to make the community a better place. High River sure has changed in 14 years, says Moore. He’s seen dramatic infrastructure upgrades, flooding, population growth of around 4,000 people, and so much more.

The money came out of the Legion’s poppy fund, and will be used towards the System 2000 Assisted Bathing Solutions at the High River Hospital. Article content Michael Brown, the High River District Health Care Foundation’s executive director, is retiring after 12 years with the foundation. Brown joined the foundation in February 2009 and has helped guide the organization as it invested almost $6.5 million into local healthcare in High River, Nanton and the Foothills area.
