United airlines has now provided some new information about the flight with a saying that there were a total of 249 people on board 235 customers, 10 flight attendants and for pilots. Thats the breakdown. The plane does have 6 tires on each of its 2 main landing gear struts. So its designed to land safely, even if it is missing or has any damaged tires.
