Primary school aged children and even parents have been caught taking part in the sickening phenomenon at Casino, in the Northern Rivers region in NSW.
HYDERABAD: Sensational details have come to light after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids at several locations including that of the accused Chikoti Praveen related to money laundering and alleged hawala transactions.
According to media reports, the CEO of a Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical business was killed in a robbery attempt by a guy who followed him home from a casino after seeing him win over $10,000. Sree Ranga Aravapalli, 54, the CEO of Aurex Laboratories, was shot dead as he arrived at his house in Plainsboro, New Jersey, early Tuesday morning.

Subscriber only A Casino resident who allegedly started house fire which damaged a property has been ordered to undergo a mental health assessment. The 33-year-old man was charged with damaging a property by fire causing more than $150,000 worth of damage. Emergency services had been called to the blaze in William St, Casino on March 8. The house was fortunately unoccupied at the time, according to police. CASINO FIRE: Emergency services including Fire & Rescue attended a fire in a residence at Casino on Monday March 8, 2021. The man appeared in Lismore Local Court on March 9, where Magistrate Jeff Linden ordered he undergo a mental health assessment.

Subscriber only A Casino woman guilty of drug and weapons offences has had her sentencing date set for June. Stacey Lee Hogan, 36, was arrested in August 2019 after police spent seven months investigating the supply of ice and firearms in Casino, Lismore, Tabulam, Drake and Irvington. Last year, she pleaded guilty to supplying a commercial quantity of methylamphetamine on an ongoing basis and possessing and supplying unregistered pistols. Stacey Lee Hogan was arrested in 2019 after a seven month investigation into a drug syndicate in the Casino and Lismore area Her matter was briefly mentioned in Coffs Harbour District Court on Monday, where material was presented to the court ahead of her sentencing.
