TMC leader Mahua Moitra has responded to a CBI questionnaire on corruption allegations in raising house questions. The CBI is examining the response and will send a report to anti-corruption ombudsman Lokpal. The agency is conducting a preliminary inquiry into the allegations against Moitra. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused Moitra of asking questions to target the Adani group and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in exchange for gifts.
Supreme Court lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to discuss the inquiry into the alleged cash for query scandal against Trinamool Congress Party leader Mahua Moitra. Moitra was expelled from the Lok Sabha last month following an ethics committee report.
