The London-based company, which has raised USD 7 million (about Rs 51.4 crore) in seed financing, also counts Indian entrepreneur Kunal Shah among its investors. Little is known about NOTHING yet, except that it is a London-based consumer tech startup that will
roll out its first set of smart devices in the first half of 2021.
Describing its quirky name, the company s Twitter bio reads, Technology should fade into the background and feel like nothing.

Pete Lau, a former Oppo executive joined forces with Carl Pei to launch a new smartphone startup. The duo alongside a small team unveiled the first OnePlus One in 2014. The device was the market’s first flagship killer. The device had a high-end chipset and a set of interesting specifications combined in a nice design and powered by the iconic CyanogenOS. Despite the controversial invite-system, the OnePlus One sold quite well allowing the company to bring more devices in the subsequent year. Six years have passed since OnePlus started its operations, and the brand is one of the most successful companies in the smartphone market. It has more than just flagship smartphones, having at least one offer for each market segment, and certainly has a bright future. However, back in the last year, it lost one of the minds behind its success – Carl Pei.
CRED founder invests in One-Plus co-founder Carl Pei’s new venture

One-Plus co-founder Carl Pei has received seed investment from India with Kunal Shah, Founder, CRED, adding Pei’s London based venture to his portfolio.
The exact investment amount has not been revealed. Pei had announced a new venture back in December 2020. The Swedish entrepreneur had previously raised $7 million in a seed financing round from “friends and private investors” including Tony Fadell (Principal at Future Shape & Inventor of the iPod), Casey Neistat (YouTuber), Kevin Lin (Co-founder of Twitch), Steve Huffman (CEO of Reddit), Liam Casey (Founder and CEO, PCH), Paddy Cosgrave (Founder of Web Summit) and Josh Buckley (CEO of Product Hunt).

Kunal Shah, the founder of fintech company CRED, has invested in OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei s new venture. The amount invested has not been disclosed. Pei had co-founded OnePlus, which now ranks among premium smartphone companies, in 2013. He quit OnePlus in October last year to start a new venture. Carl Pei has now received seed investment from India with Kunal Shah, founder of CRED, adding Carl s London based venture into his portfolio, a statement said. Details of Pei s new venture will be announced on 27 January, it added.
