2023 American Battlefield trust annual conference here in franklin, tennessee. We really appreciate you all coming out here and being a part of this event. And our next speaker is going to talk specifically about the battle here at franklin, which is one of the most famous or infamous battles of the American Civil War, which took place in november of 1864. Many of you will be traveling out to franklin to check out that battlefield site over the next few days. Youll be out there with some great historians, including my boss, gary edelman, as well as Eric Jacobson, who is part of the battle of franklin trust. Eric runs the Historic Sites out there, places like carton, rip avila and of course, the carter house, where really was the epicenter of the battle there at franklin. The area and even patchy fog thats popped up over mostly areas near the coastline. Those are areas where the dew point matches the temperature. Good morning. Certainly horrific to watch whats going on down in puerto rico but around here pretty quiet. It is. While that hurricane devastated puerto rico Hurricane Maria is going out to sea. Were not being affected by that right now. Looking outside live, its spilling clouds into the region as you look at this live shot from center city with our Temple University camera. You can kind of see that we had some cloud cover but theyre mostly high thin clouds, a day very much like yesterday where you still see the sunshine filtering through them as the day progresses here. At the shore, like you guys mentioned, that high rip current risk is coupled with Tropical Storm, bringing showers today. Ahead, cooling down and drying out. Were talking a serious cooldown. From near 90 today near 70 by your weekend. Not a bad change. Well talk temperatures currently. 70. 72 in philadelphia. Northeast philly, 74 in millville. Atlantic city, 73. 65 in allentown, and 67 in lancaster. Weve got these 70s and upper 60s to start. Like ive been saying the last few days, that makes it pretty easy to warm up into the 80s, near 90 by later in the day. Theres the view of what is left of Tropical Storm maria. Maria is not going to move our way. Instead, going to make a quick hook off to the right here as we go through today and tomorrow. That means well have ripple effects across the area. The one thing i think you notice pretty quickly is what is now Tropical Storm maria still sitting and spinning off the coastline. We are starting today with a fair amount of clouds spining into south jersey. The rest of the day will be part to mostly sunny skies. Weve got a pretty good one for you.
