Our cameras around 24th showing the easy drive, easy commute through center city. Again, both directions look good there. And were also watching the schuylkill expressway. Ive been following construction projects, one near south street. Around the 30th area, too, if youre headed eastbound. Another one on the westbound side near route 202 approaching the scene. We have lane restrictions in both directions. Now, drive times up affected because its so early. Were not seeing much moving through the area. Both should clear by 6 00 no matter what. For now, you can look at both sides, 12 minutes for each drive time east and west from the blue route to the vine street expressway. Back to you. Its 5 02. House sitter, mother, and now murder victim. Shawnique carter was found beaten to death inside a south jersey home over the weekend. Now police are searching for her killer. Pleats say Carter Police say carter had been house sitting in woodbury, Gloucester County. Kids were in the home when she was killed. Matt delucia with more from Woodbury Police station. Were told the victims 5yearold son and another child were in the house at the time. Its not clear what they saw when this happened it. We have been talking with neighbors the past couple of days. They say they are worried with a killer on the loose. None of my neighbors heard or saw anything. Thats scary. Thats really scary. I have children. So im really concerned. Im im installing cameras on my property. Its scary. We live in the suburbs, this doesnt happen out here. Reporter some of the neighbors on that block tell us they are trying to organize a memorial, a vigil for shawnique to honor her memory. We continue to check in with the District Attorneys Office in Gloucester County for updates. So far, no arrests and no major break in the case. Thank you. A 16yearold boy is dead after four people were shot in the germantown neighborhood last night. Two other teens and an 11yearold girl were hurt. This is new video from the scene on east pastorius. Those people are desperately trying to get off the hurricanedamaged island. Last night a news crew traveled from philadelphia to jfk as two flights from puerto rico arrived. They tell us the islands airports were packed with people, and the process of leaving were slow. They were relieved to reunite with loved ones and get away from the devastation. Ive been through four hurricanes, and this is a different monster. A completely different monster. This went through the island. It destroyed everything. There are towns that are flooded. People cant get out. Other travelers that we talked with say the need for food, water, and other basic supplies is overwhelming. President trump plans to tour the damage in puerto rico and the u. S. Virgin islands next tuesday. He says despite criticism about a lack of effort to help hurricane victims, supplies from the u. S. Are getting there. Were going to start by talking about the rip current risk in place. We are looking at those conditions on the dangerous side as we go through today. And like the next couple of days, we have that high risk of rip Current Development which means do gone in the water. The waters have been churned up by what was Hurricane Maria, what is now Tropical Storm maria. And theres a look at radar and satellite. Weve got scattered showers in the outer banks of north carolina. We could see spotty showers today particularly along the coastal points. Were all going to see at least scattered cloud coverage thanks to maria, as well. Temperatures, they are not going to be dropping at all today.
