GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) - The man accused of killing Mount Holly Police Officer Tyler Herndon is being held without bond after making a court appearance one week after the fatal shooting.
Joshua Funk, 24, made his first court appearance Friday morning on charges of felony first-degree murder in Officer Herndon’s death.
Funk was given a court-ordered attorney and ordered held without bond.

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) - A Mount Holly police officer fatally shot at a car wash in Gaston County Friday morning has been identified as 25-year-old Tyler Avery Herndon.
The Mount Holly Police Department is asking everyone for to keep Officer Herndonâs family in their thoughts and prayers.
