Deputy Robinson receives Katelyn Self award A Gaston County Sheriff s Office deputy who responded with assistance from his K-9 to help capture the man suspected of killing Mount Holly Police Officer Tyler Herndon last year was awarded the department s Katelyn Self Award on Thursday. Deputy Logan Robinson responded with his K-9 after Herndon was fatally wounded while responding to a 3:30 a.m. breaking and entering call at a Mount Holly business on Dec. 11. Logan helped capture the suspect. Robinson was dispatched to the scene after requests were made for a canine to help clear the building of the Mount Holly Car Wash and Arcade, said Garry Williams, chief of the Gaston County Sheriff s Office.
