Rotary Club of Kirksville learns about Inspire Hope Campaign

The speaker at the April 24 Rotary Club of Kirksville meeting was Hannibal Regional Foundation Director of Development Carolyn Chrisman. Through her husband, Jason, and his role with the Hannibal Regional Healthcare System, Chrisman heard the result of a community health needs survey for Kirksville, which showed a need for more cancer care in the area. Of 600 responses, 90.3 percent listed cancer care. In 2020, Kirksville lost access to radiation therapy. The Inspire Hope Campaign has a long term goal of having radiation oncology return to the local area. In the meantime, funds are being provided to offset travel costs. Kirksville-Thousand Hills Rotary Club learns about Inspire Hope campaign

Kirksville-Thousand Hills Rotary Club members recently learned about the "Inspire Hope" campaign from Carolyn Chrisman and Krista Garth. Complete Family Medicine, a service of Hannibal Regional Healthcare System, is raising funds for a Cancer Patient Assistance Fund through this campaign. The "Inspire Hope" campaign will assist patients and their families with care kits needed for travel and treatment to bridge the gap until local radiation treatment is available.

Kirksville Kiwanis Club hears from fellow Kiwanian, Dr Carolyn Chrisman

The Kirksville Kiwanis Club welcomed fellow Kiwanian Dr. Carolyn Chrisman to speak at their Jan. 11 meeting. Chrisman is the Director of Development for the Hannibal Regional Healthcare System Foundation. She presented on the Foundation s "Inspire Hope" campaign, which is raising funds for a Cancer Patient Assistance Fund.
